Each year, the National Federation of High Schools recognizes outstanding educators in the areas of performing arts, sports, and activities. Nominees must exemplify the highest standards of ethical conduct, and have made significant and/or long-term contributions to their respective professional areas.
The MHSAA 2019-2020 Outstanding Music Educator is LISA CLARK, choral director at MADISON CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. As the Mississippi winner, Lisa was submitted to the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) to compete for the Section 3 NFHS Outstanding Music Educator 2019-2020. Lisa Clark also has been selected by the NFHS Music Committee to receive the Section 3 regional award. Section 3 represents Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Lisa now will advance and compete against (7) other NFHS section winners for the NFHS National Music Educator Award.
